You want to run 5 miles in 42 minutes? Do the following programs:
Program 1
Run at 6.0 for 1 minute – Move the speed up 1 minute at a time all the way up to 8.0. Run for 2 minutes at 8.0 and then lower the speed back down 1 minute at a time back down to 6.0.
Program 2
Run at 6.0 – 3 minutes
Run at 7.0 – 90 seconds
Run at 9.5 – 30 seconds
Repeat this 6 times and you will be on your way to almost a 4 mile run.
Program 3
Run at 6.0 – 5 minutes
Run at 6.5 – 5 minutes
Run at 7.0 – 5 minutes
Run at 7.5 – 5 minutes
Run at 7.0 – 5 minutes
Run at 6.5 – 5 minutes
Run at 6.0 – 5 minutes
